The dress comes from its original owner who provided the approximate date that she purchased it. Trigere was a master at cut and often fitted garments directly on a model. She was also very hands on and the construction of the dress shows this as it is immaculately finished with many hand details. Both the dress and its matching cape are made from a fine silk crepe chiffon.
