An amazing early 1940s silk moss crepe top in basic black that has the most amazing sequin detailing all down the front

It is also very similar to one worn in an official White House portrait of Jacqueline Kennedy (see my blog post on that here)

Made of a knit that is crossed stitched in tiny vertical rows that give it an amazing amount of structure and keep it from loosing its shape

These are set in rows that cover the dress from shoulder to hem and the effect is just lovely! The bodice skims the torso and has lovely little top set pockets! I just love that little detail!
