Made of a wool that is heavy enough to hold the shape but not so heavy that it is uncomfortable to wear

I am not sure if I have captured the subtle use of a pale pink that highlights some of the floral details - A pale pale pink has been screened here and there

are hidden and lie at the top of the bodice only - the jacket is left open below the bust  - done to make room for skirting beneath it

The bodice is a sleek and simple expanse of silk satin that is cut halter style with two overlapping curved triangles that form the bust

1967 Striking Silk Print Strapless Adolfo Gown designer-moschino the rest of the dressThis gown is so spectacular and so striking it is really an amazing piece. I can date it exactly as it seems to have been deaccessioned from the F. I. T. Museum and still has its original museum tag with the date and donor a Mrs. Mortimer Solomon, who after a bit of research seems to have been a fabulous Palm Beach resident who was an avid client of Adolfo and who donated many pieces to both FIT and The Met. The gown is a silk taffeta with a bold spot
