Each cuff snaps off so that you can get the dress portion dry cleaned like a regular dress and not have to have it specialty cleaned each time

It was primarily made in solid colors or printed moss crepes in its day

If worn without the belt it has a more shift shape to it

1970s Silk Chiffon Metallic Trigere Dress designer-thierry-mugler 5" across (slightly inset)This is a lovely and versatile dress with just spectacular pleat work done to it. The entire upper shoulders and down each sleeve of the exterior chiffon overlay has fine flat pleats worked into them that become a design element on their own! I love that the cut is full on the outer dress so you can wear it loose and easy or tie at at the waist to create shape. The tie belt is original and is a long rectangle so it could also be worn around the neck
