Ogham Wooden Tree irregular in shapeThis massive Ash burl was pulled out of the woods in Sharon, VT by Andrew (and a large tractor). It reminds us of the many mysterious igloo shaped stone structures which are scattered around Vermont. Over 200 have been discovered to date. The largest known one (Calendar II) is just down the road in South Woodstock. Many of these constructions have some sort of astronomical significance and have been placed to align with the vernal equinox or winter
