The top of the spoon is decorated with a picturesque scene of a farmhouse with a windmill, barn, and fields. Around this are the Danish words, "Fdrearv vrnes til egen tarv" which I believe roughly translates, "Our Fathers' Legacy Cherished for Our Own Best Interests." The spoon is marked on the reverse with the 1920 three tower mark for Copenhagen that guarantees a minimum silver purity of
