Cadherine preferentially interact with themselves in a homophilic manner in connecting cells; cadherins may thus contribute to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types. Cadherin 24 mediates strong cell cell adhesion. The antibody can recognize isoform1 and isoform2 of CDH24.
