To start off 2012

I did photograph that tree but decided to explore the park for a little while as the wet snow continued to fall

With the sunlight casting a shadow I spent a little time photographing these elements more so designed to limit skateboarding tricks on the wood

Taking the image towards the sun also allowed me to silhouette the skyline of the city as well as the mountain skyline in the distance

By being low to the ground the footprints leading towards the building became my central focus to place the viewer in the scene itself and lead them towards the decorated City and County Building

Colorado State Capitol in the Fall Size:24"x36" To start off 2012The Colorado State Capitol dome stands against a deep blue sky and with changing trees in the foreground. Situated on a hill there is the extra hint of power of the building as you look up climbing the steps to the building.
