Winter in Washington Park Size:20"x30" The last couple of days

The last couple of days while driving along Speer Blvd I have noticed the changing leaves in the city with some of the trees already empty of leaves there are plenty of trees in peak color this fall

I noticed the patterns formed by the stairs and building not just the lines but also the texture and shine of metal

and the float planes were coming back from excursions during the day

I looked across the Gastineau Channel and noticed the low clouds on Douglas Island with the fresh snow from some rain which had fallen earlier in the day on the peaks

Fall is definitely in the air in Denver and the color is also visible along Speer Blvd

Winter in Washington Park Size:20"x30" The last couple of daysIn early January 2009 snow fell overnight leaving a nice winter scene. Seeing the snow start to fall on Saturday evening, I planned to wake up early to get out to Washington Park prior to sunrise and see how it had been transformed. It was quiet in the park and as I headed to a tree which I found almost a year ago a slight chill was present but the beauty of the snow covered surroundings quickly made it go away.
