First Sunrise of 2012 in Denver Size:16"x20" Lassen National Park is located

Lassen National Park is located a few hours north of Sacramento

From my position in City Park I was able to position the setting sun at the Wells Fargo Building (Cash Register) and the mountains

The main concert hall in Reykjavik is Harpa which was designed to resemble the landscape around Iceland

With the sunlight casting a shadow I spent a little time photographing these elements more so designed to limit skateboarding tricks on the wood

I headed to Union Station right around Christmas to photograph the light on the Wynkoop side of the building

First Sunrise of 2012 in Denver Size:16"x20" Lassen National Park is locatedThe start of a new year is usually marked by sleeping in late due to the celebration from the prior night heading into the early hours of January 1st. To start off 2012, I fought the urge to sleep in and woke up in time to capture the first sunrise over Denver. As I waited for the sun to rise it was obvious people were still heading home after a long night, however like myself they were treated to the clouds lighting this first morning of 2012.
