Hot forged means these aren't as strong as the cold forged Tallux and dirtdrops, but don't think that means that these are wimpy at all. Note also that NITTO (and therefore we) don't consider the smallux for off road riding. It is a strong stem, but once you say, "good for off road, too," you're opening the doors to abusive showoff
