The waterfall itself is 200 feet and with the shape of the rocks it is possible to walk behind the waterfall

and have also noticed changes to my style during this time as well

For the Thirty Days 2011 project I decided to head to Jim Baker Reservoir to check it out

Using a long lens I isolated a subset of pilings and worked to catch the reflection in Gastineau Channel

Using a long exposure with water will smooth it but also as it moves in an area without water give it a little ghostly effect

Lee Metcalf NWR Size:20"x30" The waterfall itself is 200It was an early June morning as I made my way to Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge just south of Missoula. As the early light made its way through the light fog in the valley I found an interesting shoreline to capture the soft light as well as the reflection on the quiet ponds.
